In the main event of “The Fight Before Christmas,” Chase DeMoor dealt a dose of reality to outspoken firebrand Andrew Tate with a hard fought majority decision win over six rounds. Andrew Tate hadn’t been in competition in any kind of ring in five years, yet he had full believe in himself that he could defeat Chase DeMoor, Misfit Boxing heavyweight champion. Tate had been a champion in kickboxing, both in K-1 and ISKA, while DemMoor was a standout DII college football player, turning pro in boxing two years ago. Considering the time out of competition, Tate did himself proud, but he couldn’t match the timing, skillset or athleticism of DeMoor, who rained uppercuts and more on Tate, busting his face up with cuts and bruises. The judges saw the six round fight as follows: 57-57, 58-56 twice, for Demoor, by majority decision. Despite prefight hostilities, Tate and DeMoor were congenial toward each other after the battle was over. For his part, DeMoor praised Tate, “The hardest guy I’ve ever fought in my life. I have all the respect in the world for this man. This man literally pulled me out of a suicide. I was gonna kill myself after that first fight (his pro debut loss to Frankie Freelove in 2023). I don’t care what anybody says about this guy, he’s a f*#&ing legend! Respect, thank you so much!” DeMoor improves to 5-1, 2 KOs. Tate starts out in boxing at 0-1.
