Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal has said his son has been robbed of the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.

Lamine Yamal who came second on the Ballon d’Or ranking lost the award to French international Ousmane Dembele who led Paris Saint Germain to a historic treble after scoring 35 goals and providing 14 assists in 53 matches in the 2024/2025 football season.

Reacting to Dembele’s victory, Mounir Nasraoui claimed that his son should have won the award and not the French star.

Mounir also described the 2025 Ballon d’Or as the greatest moral harm to a human being.

Dembele shares emotional reaction on social media after winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or

“I think this is the biggest… not robbery, I won’t say that, but the greatest moral harm to a human being.”

“Because I believe that Lamine is the best player in the world by far, by a huge margin. Not because he’s my son, but because he’s the best player in the world. I don’t think he has rivals,” he said after the awards ceremony.

Mounir Nasraoui also predicted that his son despite missing out on the ultimate award will return to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

“We have to say that something very strange has happened here. Greetings to all of Spain, and next year the Ballon d’Or will be Spanish.”
