Ghanaian radio host Nana Romeo has expressed frustration with the criticism he faces from some Ghanaians over his interview style, claiming that his interviews are often more appealing than those conducted by Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.

On the United Showbiz program, Nana Romeo compared his interviews to Delay’s, particularly focusing on her recent interview with Ghana Freedom Party founder, Madam Akua Donkor, which many viewers found disrespectful.

He argued that some of Delay’s questions are even tougher than his own, yet she receives less backlash.

“There is too much hypocrisy in this country. Personally, I watch Delay’s interviews, and we monitor each other in the industry. Sometimes I ask myself why people attack me for asking certain questions. When I watch Delay’s interviews, I see that her questions are even tougher than mine. But anytime I ask a question, people insult me. I don’t have anything against Delay. She’s my sister, and I love her, but sometimes when I watch her interviews, I see them as aggressive. Maybe that’s her style, but when someone else does it and you attack them, I consider anyone who does that a shallow-minded person or a typical hater,” he stated.

Nana Romeo specifically mentioned a moment in Delay’s interview with Madam Akua Donkor, describing it as disrespectful.

“In the interview with Maame Akua Donkor, it got to a point where Delay was telling the woman, ‘Take this cane and beat me.’ That was so disrespectful,” he noted.

He further suggested that Delay apologize to the late Ghana Freedom Party founder, Madam Akua Donkor.

“Delay’s interviews are not live shows but prerecorded, so some of the questions she asks are ones that she prepared herself or are based on rumours she heard. I don’t have a problem with how she asks her questions, but with the woman (Akua Donkor), honestly, she has to apologize.”
