Renowned Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has shared an inspiring message of perseverance, recounting her journey from homelessness to becoming one of Ghana’s most respected businesswomen.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Delay opened up about the challenges she faced as a young woman navigating life with no money, no shelter, and no direction.

She recalled being unable to afford basic necessities, including food, a stark contrast to her current status as the founder and CEO of the successful food brand, Delay Foods.

“It feels like just yesterday when I couldn’t afford a decent meal,” she wrote.

“Today, the small food business I started, Delay Foods, now has 10 product variants! And we’re just getting started. I’m talking about just 2004.”

Delay, who is also a celebrated broadcaster and producer, revealed that before her breakthrough, she once experienced homelessness and uncertainty about her future.

“I had nowhere to live and didn’t know what to do with my life,” she shared. “I’m sitting here right now, wondering what I did right for God to be this merciful to me.”

Her testimony has resonated widely across social media, with many praising her transparency and using her story as motivation.

Delay’s journey from adversity to achievement has made her a symbol of resilience and tenacity.

Through Delay Foods and her influential media career, she continues to empower young people, especially women, to believe in their dreams, no matter how distant they may seem.
