Lithuanian second-tier side FK Babrungas have terminated the contract of defender Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye after just six months.
The club statement read, “Thank you for your great contribution to the team’s results in the first round and good luck. Thank you for all effort and good luck, Samuel.”
In February this year, the former Great Olympics defender signed a one-year deal with an option to extend.
He has represented Ghana at youth levels-U20 and U23 sides- and also featured for the home-based national team Black Galaxies.
Quaye was key member of the Ghana squad which won the 2021 African U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
