Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has shutdown the comparison between him and Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo ahead of the London Derby on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Emirates.

According to the English international, he has heard about the comparison but has no interest in it because he and the Ecuadorian international play different roles for their respective teams.

Declan Rice while speaking after Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich revealed that he admires Caicedo and voted for him in his PFA Team of the Year in the 2024/2025 season.

The 26-year-old midfielder made this statement while reacting to Jamie Carragher’s question on whether he has heard about the ongoing debate between him and Moises Caicedo.

“I have a lot of respect for Moises Caicedo. I voted him last year in my PFA ‘Team of the Year’, I thought he was outstanding. There’s so many comparisons but we’re playing different positions!” Declan Rice said.

Arsenal will host rivals Chelsea in the London Derby on matchday 13 of the ongoing Premier League season.
