Ghanaian musician Emmanuel Kwamina Amonoo, popularly known as Quamina MP, has shared his opinion on the current trending topic on social media, where some netizens have stated that Nigerians have stolen “Detty December” from Ghanaians.

In an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb journalist Isaac Dadzie during the 2024 Beyond Kontrol concert on December 26, 2024, the musician noted that December in Ghana is not dead.

He explained that people have different energies.

“I feel that December in Ghana is not dead. I think people have different energies, so I feel it is not dead. Moreover, I am still enjoying it,” he said.

Quamina MP also complained about the lack of investment and promotion in the creative arts industry.

“I don’t know about everybody else, but my major problem is the lack of promotion and investment. As an artiste, I am using my own money to do my promotion.”

On December 26, 2024, musician Medikal held his annual “Beyond Kontrol” concert at Ghud Park.

The event, which attracted massive crowds, saw Medikal entertain the ecstatic audience with his hit songs. He was also joined by various artistes, including Shatta Wale, Efya, KK Fosu, Quamina MP, Lyrical Joe, Jay Bhad, and many others.
