Award-winning Nigerian superstar Davido has officially canceled two of his scheduled performances in Canada, causing a wave of disappointment among fans who were looking forward to his vibrant stage presence and hit-packed setlists.

The shows were part of his ongoing “Timeless 5IVE Alive Tour”, which has seen the global Afrobeats sensation perform across Europe and North America. The affected Canadian cities include Montreal and Quebec City, both of which have now been taken off the tour calendar.

In a post circulating on social media and confirmed by event insiders, the cancellations were reportedly due to “organizational misalignment” between Davido’s management and the local Canadian show promoters. While full details have not yet been disclosed, sources suggest the team decided to pull out of the events to protect the integrity of the tour experience and brand.

“Due to organizational misalignment, Davido has canceled his upcoming shows in Quebec and Montreal,” the post read.

This move echoes a similar incident earlier this year when Davido canceled his Tottenham Hotspur Stadium show in London. At the time, he cited issues with the event setup and emphasized that fans deserved nothing short of the best concert experience.

Canadian fans, especially those from Montreal and Quebec City, have expressed frustration and heartbreak online, with many demanding clarity and immediate refund procedures.

“I’ve waited for months to see Davido live in Montreal. This is really disappointing,” one fan tweeted.

Others, however, have praised the artist for maintaining high performance standards and not compromising on quality.

As of now, no replacement dates have been announced, and there has been no formal statement from Davido himself or his DMW management team. However, fans have been advised to monitor official ticket outlets for information regarding refunds or potential rescheduling.

Davido’s next slated tour stops are still expected to go ahead as planned, including performances in New York, Atlanta, Houston, and Los Angeles, among other global cities.

While the cancellation may come as a blow to his Canadian fans, Davido’s history of addressing tour related concerns with transparency and professionalism suggests he may soon clarify the situation.
