As reggae enthusiasts worldwide prepare to celebrate what would have been Bob Marley’s 80th birthday on February 6th, 2025, Ghanaian reggae artist David Oscar Dogbe has released a special tribute to the legendary musician.

David, currently based in Germany, shared a live performance of Marley’s classic “One Drop” from his annual Reggae Spot Music Festival held in November 2024.

“Bob Marley’s music has been a profound influence on my life and career. His messages of love, unity, and social justice resonate deeply with me, and I wanted to honor his legacy by sharing my own interpretation of one of his most iconic songs,” David said.

The performance, filmed at the Grant Pub in Koforidua, captures Dogbe’s soulful vocals and vibrant stage presence as he delivers a powerful rendition of “One Drop.”

The video, available on David Oscar Dogbe’s YouTube channel and website, invites viewers to join in the celebration of Marley’s enduring impact on reggae music and culture.

Oscar’s tribute to Bob Marley is a proof of the enduring influence of the reggae icon, who passed away in 1981 at the age of 36.

Bob Marley’s music continues to inspire generations of artists and fans alike, and his message of peace and love remains as relevant today as it was decades ago.

“Bob Marley’s spirit lives on through his music. His legacy will continue to inspire us to fight for justice, equality, and love for all mankind,” David said.

Are you a reggae enthusiast or fan of Bob Marley? Spare a moment to indulge in David Oscar’s performance of “One Drop” and join in the celebration of the reggae legend’s 80th birthday.
