Mohammed Kudus is a player of West Ham

Despite not having a standout season statistically, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus has caught the attention of former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy, who believes the Ghanaian possesses the qualities to succeed at a top club like Liverpool.

Murphy has been vocal in his admiration for Kudus, first highlighting the Ghanaian’s abilities during West Ham’s narrow 2-1 loss to the Reds at Anfield earlier in April.

In that match, Kudus impressed with his physical strength, flair, and a near-spectacular goal that was thwarted by a world-class save from Alisson.

Building on his earlier praise, Murphy, following Liverpool’s 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, April 27, 2024, urged Liverpool to consider signing the West Ham midfielder.

“Kudus is robust, skilful, and capable of playing as a No.10 or on either wing. He is incredibly strong and possesses great pace,” Murphy commented.

Although Kudus hasn’t been statistically dominant, with just four goals and two assists in 28 appearances, Murphy believes his physicality, versatility, and flashes of brilliance make him a perfect fit for a club with Liverpool’s ambitions.

With several Liverpool forwards expected to depart this summer, Murphy views Kudus as a smart, long-term acquisition. Interest from other European clubs and the Saudi Pro League is reportedly growing, setting the stage for a potentially eventful summer for the 24-year-old Ghanaian.
