Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey paid a visit to his childhood club, Zinaps FC, as he continues to enjoy a short break from football.

Amartey attended a Zinaps FC match in Teshie, where the team are competing in the third-tier league.

During his visit, the former Leicester City defender made a generous donation, providing an undisclosed sum of money, boots, and jerseys to the club.

He also extended his generosity to Zinaps’ opponents on the day, encouraging the players to pursue their dreams of becoming professional footballers.

Amartey is currently unattached following his departure from Turkish side Beşiktaş and has been in Ghana while searching for a new club.

He has not played competitive football since March 2024, when he featured for 45 minutes in Besiktas’s 2-1 home defeat to Antalyaspor.

Amartey was close to joining Celtic in the 2024 summer transfer window, but the deal ultimately fell through.
