London-born Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei has expressed pride and excitement after receiving his maiden call-up to the Ghana national football team for upcoming international friendlies against Austria national football team and Germany national football team.
The former Burnley FC striker described the opportunity as a dream come true, noting that representing Ghana at the highest level is a moment he deeply cherishes.
“It’s a massive honour to be called up to the Ghana national team. As a player, you always dream of representing your country at this level, so to finally get the opportunity means everything to me. I’m ready to give my all for the shirt,” Agyei said.
His invitation follows a string of impressive performances for Kocaelispor in the Turkish Süper Lig, where the 28-year-old has been in fine form. He has scored three goals in his last two matches and has netted four times this season for the newly promoted side.
Known for his pace, strength, and intelligent movement, Agyei adds fresh attacking options to the Black Stars as they intensify preparations for upcoming assignments.
