Renowned sports journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah has leveled some allegations against former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The Peace FM sports journalist claimed that during Nyantakyi’s tenure as GFA president, he withdrew a whopping amount of two million dollars from the account of the Black Stars at UniBank.
Kwaku Yeboah alleged that the funds Nyantakyi withdrew were not used for anything related to the Black Stars but for his personal gain instead.
Speaking on Peace FM, he asserted that the Anas Number 12 Exposé is the worst thing to have happened to Ghana football and does not speak well for the nation in terms of sports.
“The worst thing to have happened to our football is Anas’ exposé. President Nyantakyi single-handedly went to UniBank to withdraw $2 million for himself. Even when he was arrested, the GFA was not dissolved, so no matter what happens, the president cannot dissolve the GFA,” he claimed.
It will be recalled that Nyantakyi’s tenure as GFA president ended in an embarrassing manner after undercover investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas released an explosive exposé.
However, the former GFA president contested for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in Ejisu but lost the election.
