Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has been spotted at her residence in Germany in the company of fans, weeks after her husband’s burial in Kumasi.

Daddy Lumba was laid to rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025, following his death at the age of 60 on July 26, 2025, after a short illness.

Since his passing, the celebrated musician’s family has been embroiled in a widely publicised dispute, beginning shortly after his one-week observance held on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Amid the family tensions, Akosua Serwaa filed a lawsuit against the late musician’s family head, Kofi Owusu, and his Ghana-based wife, Odo Broni. In her suit, she sought a court declaration recognising her as Daddy Lumba’s only legal surviving spouse and to bar his second wife, privately known as Priscilla Ofori, from being acknowledged as his wife.

However, the court dismissed her request, a decision that further deepened the already strained family relations surrounding the late musician’s legacy.

In 2026, a viral video circulating on social media showed popular TikToker Obaa Gifty, accompanied by another female associate, visiting Akosua Serwaa at her residence in Germany.

The visit reportedly took place on New Year’s Day, drawing significant attention online.

In the video, Daddy Lumba’s first wife is seen dressed in an all-black mourning outfit as she posed for photos with the TikToker inside her living room.

Her facial expressions reflected a mix of emotions as she interacted with the visitors.

Obaa Gifty’s associate later joined them for a group photo, with both visitors expressing sympathy and support for Akosua Serwaa over the loss of her husband and the ongoing family dispute surrounding his death.

The video has sparked varied reactions on social media, with some fans expressing sympathy for Akosua Serwaa and praising her composure amid the controversy, while others revisited the unresolved family issues that have dominated discussions since Daddy Lumba’s passing.

As the legacy of the highlife icon continues to generate debate, moments like these highlight the personal toll his death has taken on those closest to him, even as public interest in his life and family affairs remains high.
