    Manager of the late Daddy Lumba, Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada has disclosed that Daddy Lumba has never been to a night club before and doesn’t attend parties.

    Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM on July 29, 2025, Roman Fada mentioned that Daddy Lumba was a shy person, and he showed up at events simply because of the nature of his job.

    “He was a shy person, if not for the nature of his job that took me stage to perform for the people, he doesn’t talk much. You will not even meet him anywhere unless it’s an important event.

    “He has never been to a night club before, he doesn’t attend parties if not that he was really invited. He’s always indoors unless important events and that has been his life throughout,” he said.

    According to Roman Fada, Daddy Lumba’s welcoming personality made him a beloved figure.

    “He was a free-spirited person and when you get close to him, he would keep advising you. He once told me to always speak the truth even if it hurts,” he stated.

    He added, “He cracked jokes a lot and liked teasing people. Everyone who came across him knows he was jovial. When we go somewhere and someone try to outdo him by showing off his English skills, he would then tell me that the person is funny to think he could speak English than him and doesn’t know he could speak most languages, including Dutch.”
