Andy Dosty urged fans and media alike to disregard the hoax Andy Dosty urged fans and media alike to disregard the hoax

Popular Ghanaian media personality, Andy Dosty, has emphatically dismissed circulating rumours about the death of Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, affirming on Hitz FM that the musician is very much alive and well.

Speaking with conviction on July 26, 2025, Dosty declared; “To be very honest, the legend is still alive. Daddy Lumba is still alive. He is not dead. Ignore the rumors. They’re not true. Ignore them.”

The comments came in reaction to online chatter suggesting that Daddy Lumba, one of Ghana’s most celebrated musical icons, had passed away.

Dosty, known for his close association with the singer and years in Ghana’s entertainment space, made the call to fans and media alike to disregard the hoax.

The death rumours join a list of similar claims which have plagued Daddy Lumba over the years, only for him to o refute them publicly.

Andy Dosty’s remarks on Hitz FM are the latest in a series of reassurances that the musician remains alive and in good health.
