Controversial Ghanaian preacher and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has made bold spiritual claims concerning the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.

Speaking during a panel discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday night, Kumchacha asserted that Daddy Lumba was not an ordinary human being but a “spirit” sent to earth with a divine assignment.

“Lumba is not just a human being; he’s a spirit being,” Kumchacha said. “If he had passed on his soul day and they hadn’t rushed to put his body in the mortuary, he would have risen again. That’s how powerful his spiritual calling was.”

He further stated that individuals like Daddy Lumba are chosen for unique spiritual missions and are called back to the afterlife only after completing their earthly purpose.

Expanding on his point, Kumchacha listed other figures he considers to be “spirit beings,” including the late Nigerian televangelist Prophet TB Joshua and Ghana’s own Rev. Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah. According to him, these personalities operate on a divine frequency not easily understood by the average person.

His comments have sparked widespread debate on social media, with many expressing mixed reactions to the prophetic claims.

As tributes continue to pour in for the late music icon, Kumchacha’s spiritual remarks have added a new layer of mysticism to the already emotional national mourning.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, was a legendary Ghanaian musician known for his unmatched contribution to highlife music. His passing sent shockwaves across the country, with many still grappling with the loss.
