    Daddy Lumba Passes Away

Renowned Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has tragically passed away, as confirmed by his family.

In an official statement shared on his Facebook page and verified by Daddy Lumba FM—his official media outlet—the family announced that the celebrated musician died in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The statement expressed deep sorrow, saying: “It is with heavy hearts that the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s cherished music icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba. He died earlier today, July 26, 2025, following a brief illness.”

The news follows a morning filled with confusion, as conflicting reports and rumors circulated about his death.

Daddy Lumba was more than just a musician; he was a cultural icon whose songs and lyrics touched countless lives, exploring themes of love, hardship, aspirations, and perseverance.

The family has asked for privacy as they mourn this immense loss. Funeral details will be released in the coming days.
