    In a dazzling ceremony held on December 13, 2024, at the Koforidua Cultural Centre, Daasebreba Kwame was crowned Artiste of the Year at the prestigious Eastern Music Awards.

    The Eastern Music Awards, now in its fifth edition, celebrate and recognize outstanding talents who are thriving in the region and across Ghana in various categories.

    The night was filled with electrifying performances from nominees and past winners, showcasing the rich musical heritage of the Eastern Region.

    Daasebreba Kwame, who has had a stellar year under review, won the prestigious and topmost Artiste of the Year award as well as the Highlife Song of the Year.

    As part of the prize package, Daasebreba Kwame will be performing at the 2025 African Music Week in Canada.

    In his acceptance speech, Daasebreba expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support and dedicated the award to all aspiring musicians in Ghana.

    He emphasized the importance of staying true to one’s musical roots while embracing innovation in music, which was received with massive applause by attendees at the auditorium.

    This accolade is a significant milestone in the career of Daasebreba Kwame, who is known for his unique blend of traditional Ghanaian sounds with contemporary music styles, which has captivated audiences both locally and internationally.

    Winning this award not only highlights Daasebreba Kwame’s individual talent but also underscores the growing recognition of Eastern Region artists within Ghana’s broader music industry.

    The Eastern Music Awards aim to promote local talents and provide them with a platform to showcase their work. This year’s event saw an increase in nominations across various genres, reflecting a diverse range of musical expressions emerging from the region.
