Cristiano Jr during the game

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr, made his debut for Portugal’s U-15 national team as they recorded a commanding 4-1 victory over Japan in their opening match at the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The young Al Nassr forward began the match on the bench but was introduced in the 53rd minute by coach João Santos, marking his first appearance in national colours.

While he didn’t get on the scoresheet, Cristiano Jr showed flashes of promise as Portugal dominated proceedings from start to finish.

Cabral was the star of the day, netting a first-half hat-trick to put Portugal in full control. Henrique Amen added a fourth goal in the 73rd minute to round off an impressive performance from the young Seleção.

The result sends Portugal to the top of the group standings as they prepare to face Greece on May 14 and England on May 16.

Their final match of the tournament will be held on May 18, with the opponent to be determined based on group outcomes.

The Vlatko Markovic Tournament is a key stage for Europe’s brightest young talents, and Cristiano Jr’s debut is a milestone moment as he begins his journey on the international stage, following in the footsteps of his legendary father
