The Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency, Gideon Aryeequaye, has made a bold statement concerning the office.

In an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz, shared on TikTok on September 14, 2025, Gideon Aryeequaye noted that the Creative Arts Agency had no official bank accounts at the time he assumed office.

He explained that his predecessor ran the affairs of the agency through her personal accounts, adding that, due to that, the agency finds it difficult to secure funding from both government and private organizations.

“The truth of the matter is that when we came into office, the agency didn’t have any official bank account. My predecessor didn’t open one.

“Because we don’t have an account, we find it difficult to get funding. So I don’t want to make the same mistake my predecessor made,” he said.

Gideon Aryeequaye further noted that the agency is working around the clock to create an official bank account, where funding will be channeled.

“We now have an accountant, so I am sure by the time I get back, the Creative Arts as an agency will have an account. Because there was no account, my predecessor could empty the office and claim every spending was through her own wallet,” he added.
