The Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, has reiterated the Council’s commitment to supporting President John Dramani Mahama with sound and honest counsel, following a high-level meeting at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

In a post shared on his Facebook page after the engagement, he noted that the meeting, attended by all Council members, focused on matters of critical national importance.

“Today, I joined fellow Members of the Council of State for a meeting with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana, to discuss key matters of national importance.

“We are pleased with the outcome of today’s engagement and remain fully committed to supporting the President with sound and honest counsel. As always, we stand ready to discharge our duties to the highest standards, both to the Presidency and to the good people of Ghana,” he wrote.

The Council of State plays a vital advisory role within Ghana’s governance structure, serving as a bridge between the Presidency and the citizenry, and offering guidance on major policy issues and matters of national governance.
