Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian dancehall musician

Dancehall musician Stonebwoy has once again sparked conversation with the release of his latest extended play (EP), titled ‘Torcher’.

The 9-track EP, which dropped on September 9, 2025, has generated discussions online. In the midst of the buzz, one track in particular has caught the attention of netizens online.

Many have speculated that Stonebwoy used the song, ‘Deeper’, to throw subtle jabs at his long-time rival, Shatta Wale.

He made reference to the EOCO, adding that his wealth and the properties he has acquired through music won’t be seized by the EOCO.

I knew it was fake – Stonebwoy on Shatta Wale’s 2019 peace effort

The song in question has since raised eyebrows, especially in light of Shatta Wale’s ongoing legal battle with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over the acquisition of his 2019 Lamborghini Urus.

This has led fans to wonder if Stonebwoy’s ‘Deeper’ was intentionally crafted as a diss track aimed at Shatta Wale.

Stonebwoy established that he is the king of Afrodancehall, adding that his haters are fond of talking about their fake lifestyle but do not have anything to prove for themselves.

“My seed will never go extinction, that is why he made me the God of BHIM Nation. My property will not get locked up for EOCO; Afro dancehall will take over the globe. That is making some people go mad. They like to talk but don’t have anything. They are lairs,” he said in patois at the beginning of the 3:17 minutes song.

Number of times Stonebwoy has called Shatta Wale’s lifestyle fake

It all broke out in 2024, when Stonebwoy, in an interview on Angel FM, described Shatta Wale’s lifestyle as “fake, adding that their 2019 peace agreement wasn’t genuine.

Following that interview, the “Sobolo” hitmaker, in numerous videos and interviews shared on social media, has constantly labelled Shatta Wale’s luxurious lifestyle as fake.

Netizens react to Stonebwoy’s comments on Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini saga

To add things up, Stonebwoy, in a recent interview with a Jamaican podcast in August 2025, reiterated his earlier argument regarding Shatta Wale.

During the discussion, Stonebwoy weighed in on the seizure of Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini Urus by the EOCO, where he noted, “See, we know the industry, and we know how it’s set. If you flash it, it’s not everybody who can really have it or afford it, but everybody wants to be like that; many people want to really flash it and all of that, so that news is coming out.”
