The Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana has congratulated Martin Ayisi, Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, on four years of distinguished leadership.

Ayisi, who was appointed acting CEO on March 21, 2021, after serving as Deputy CEO for two and a half years, has spearheaded significant reforms within the Minerals Commission.

Under his stewardship, the commission has implemented transformative policies that have strengthened the mining sector and bolstered regulatory oversight.

One of his most notable achievements has been the enhancement of education and training programs for inspectors and technical officers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to uphold industry standards.

His leadership has also been instrumental in the fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.

Recognizing the impact of unregulated mining on the environment and livelihoods, Ayisi has championed initiatives that support young Ghanaians seeking alternative livelihoods in farming.

Farmer General Nana Oboadie Boateng Bonsu, leader of the Concerned Farmers Association, expressed deep appreciation for Martin Ayisi’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s development.

“His dedication to excellence and his efforts to curb illegal mining while providing opportunities for affected youth are commendable,” he stated.

The farmers’ association reaffirmed its support for Ayisi’s leadership and expressed confidence in his continued efforts to enhance Ghana’s mineral sector.
