Ghanaian music sensation Gyakie has told international audiences that Ghana is the place to be if they are searching for tranquility, culture, and creativity.

She said this while sharing her vision for her music at the first edition of Billboard Africa’s Editors’ Table event held in Accra.

When asked what she hopes to convey about Ghana through her music and her global presence, Gyakie highlighted the talent, versatility and rich musical heritage of Ghana’s creative community.

“I want the world to know how versatile and talented the musicians from here are and how Highlife music has been able to bring up so many legends from here,” she said.

The singer, real name Jackline Acheampong, further extended a warm invitation to those yet to visit Ghana, describing the country as a place where one could come to experience peace and culture.

“I think anybody who has never been to Ghana yet, trust me, if you’re looking for peace of mind, if you’re looking for a place where you experience good food, good culture, and good music, Ghana is the right place to come to,” she said.

Asked about her music plans for the future, the artiste said that with her 2026 album already released, she looks forward to an active year of creativity, tours, visuals, and fresh music.

“Just know that 2026 is Gyakie’s year,” she declared.

Gyakie has risen to prominence with a string of hits, blending Afro-fusion, R&B and Highlife, building on a foundation laid by her father, renowned Highlife musician Nana Acheampong.
