Mohamed Salah voices frustration after being benched for consecutive matches Mohamed Salah voices frustration after being benched for consecutive matches

Mohamed Salah has cast doubt over his Liverpool future after expressing deep frustration with his situation at the club.

The Egypt captain suggested he feels unfairly treated and hinted that his relationship with manager Arne Slot has completely broken down.

Speaking after the club’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United, Salah admitted he is struggling to understand why he has recently been left out of the starting lineup, describing it as the first time in his career he has experienced such a situation.

“I’m sitting on the bench, and I don’t know why,” he said. “I’m very disappointed. I have done so much for this club. It is difficult to see this happening, especially after last season.”

Salah went further, stating he believes he has become a scapegoat for Liverpool’s recent form.

“It is very clear that someone wants me to take all the blame,” he said. “Promises were made during the summer, and nothing has happened. I used to have a very good relationship with the manager, and suddenly, there is nothing. I don’t know why.”

The forward insisted that his loyalty to Liverpool remains strong, but he no longer feels the same support from the club hierarchy.

“It feels like someone does not want me here,” Salah continued. “This is a big club. I have always loved it. My family loves it. I called my parents and told them to come to the final game, whether I play or not. I just want to enjoy it.”

Salah stressed that he has earned his place through consistent performances and expects respect in return.

“I am not bigger than anyone, but I have worked hard for my position,” he stated. “I do not understand why I am being put in this situation. It feels like I am being thrown under the bus, like I am the problem. I don’t believe that.”

With uncertainty now surrounding his future, Salah admitted he does not know what comes next, leaving supporters braced for what could be a dramatic development in the coming weeks.
