The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has been petitioned to investigate the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bimbilla, Mr Dominic Aduna Bingab Nitiwul, over public statements concerning the proposed redevelopment of the Konkomba Yam Market at Agbogbloshie in Accra.
The petitioners, Mr Solomon Owusu and lawyer Mr Andrew Appiah-Danquah, want the CID to establish whether statements attributed to the MP in a widely circulated video could amount to offences under Sections 207 and 208 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). Read More
