Dr Ethel has shared her observations about Christian women who get married without being sexually expressive beforehand.

During an interview with JoyPrime, she explained that this often affects their mental readiness for intimacy, even before marriage.

She said as virgins and Christians, many are not encouraged to imagine sex, think about it, or prepare themselves for it.

Dr Ethel emphasised that marriage is where sex should happen and be enjoyed, describing it as a home for intimacy and a foundation for the marital bond.

According to her, when couples get it right, it brings many positive benefits.

She noted, “I was a virgin before I got married, but in my mind, I was going to enjoy it in the future.”

She recounted how some people assumed she would become a reverend sister, but she surprised them by getting married, as she wanted to enjoy intimacy with her husband.

Concluding her statements, Dr Ethel said, “The church must teach and prepare our young women and men. Yes, keeping yourself is excellent, but do not joke with preparing for marriage. It’s not devilish to think positively about sex in marriage.”

She added, “People should allow themselves to explore, and it’s not evil as long as it’s between you and your husband.”
