Despite being the co-owner of the team that Travis Kelce plays for, Dan Hunt was not on the shortlist for invitations to the Chiefs star’s glamorous wedding to Taylor Swift.
Dan, who is part-owner of the Chiefs and the president of MLS side FC Dallas, told CBS this week he was not at Madison Square Garden to watch the couple exchange ‘I do’s’ with each other.
There was a member of the Hunt family there as Chiefs CEO and chairman Clark Hunt made his way to New York to join the thousands of guests watching the ceremony.
‘Apparently, I don’t sing well enough to get invited,’ Dan joked to the outlet while adding he was frequently asked about the occasion throughout the summer.
‘My brother was there and I talked to him and he said, ‘Look it was really special and it was really unique.’ And we were all so happy for him,’ Hunt said.
Despite being snubbed, Hunt is extending invitations for both the pop icon and the football star to attend a match in Frisco, Texas.

While he doesn’t expect Kelce and Swift to show up this season, Dan believes the night out could be planned for after the tight end ceases his playing days.
‘I’m working on it. We’ll have to see,’ he said. ‘It’ll probably be after Travis retiring, but they’re always welcome down here.
‘She does have a busy schedule, though. You know how it goes as a star, but a match and coming to TOCA Social would be fun.’
The Kelce-Swift wedding was held during the FIFA World Cup in the United States, where soccer has seen a surge in popularity and attention.
Dan can already envision the atmosphere at a Dallas match if Kelce and Swift attended.
‘Travis is one of the most fun individuals I’ve ever been around in my life,’ he said. ‘I can only imagine what it would be like to have him here doing it. Maybe it’ll come true. Who knows?’
There are still many questions to be answered about the festivities at MSG as the couple and their guests have managed to stay tight-lipped while no phones were allowed.
Kelce recently described the affair as ‘the best night of my life’ and told reporters at training camp, ‘I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us.’
