Chelsea Football Club and Ghanaian Afrobeats star and lifelong Blues supporter King Promise have today released “Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem),” a new track celebrating the culture, community and passion of Chelsea fans across Africa.
Created as a love letter to the supporters who have made Chelsea part of their lives, the track brings together two of the things that unite people across the continent: football and music. It is a celebration of the energy, pride and connection that runs through Chelsea’s African fanbase, with Afrobeats providing the soundtrack.
The track is part of Chelsea’s London to the World approach to culture, finding new and authentic ways to celebrate the communities that make up the club’s global family. Following the spirit of the club’s recent cultural work in Brazil, including the creation of community football courts, the project puts supporters and their communities at the heart of the story.

“Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem)” made its debut at a Chelsea matchday earlier this month and will continue to feature at fixtures throughout the season. Following today’s release, the accompanying music video arrives on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, bringing the story back to Ghana and celebrating the supporters, friendships and football communities that have grown around the club.
The video was filmed across two locations in Accra: the Rent Paid Football Exhibition Tournament, where King Promise hosted a football tournament for local Chelsea fans, bringing together supporter clubs from across Ghana, and Nungua SDA Park, the ground where King Promise grew up playing football.
More than just a game, the tournament captured the spirit of the community, generations of fans coming together through their shared love of the Blues. The video is directed by Derrick Arthur.
King Promise founded Rent Paid on the belief that people owe it to themselves to “pay rent” to their bodies through exercise, community and culture. Every Rent Paid activation supports the Nungua Orphanage in King Promise’s hometown, providing charitable donations and community support to children aged 16 and under.
King Promise said: “Chelsea has always had a strong connection with fans across Africa, and we wanted one of their own to celebrate that connection. As a lifelong Chelsea fan, this project means a lot to me. Football and music have always brought people together, and I wanted the track to capture the pride, energy and passion that Chelsea fans across Africa have for the club.”
Scott Fenton, Brand Director for Chelsea Football Club, said: “King Promise came to us with the idea for the track and, knowing how much Chelsea means to him, it felt like a really natural collaboration. This is about celebrating our fans in Africa and the culture around the club, and showing what Chelsea can mean beyond the 90 minutes. Music is such a powerful way to bring people together, and this is a brilliant example of that.”
“Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem)” is available now on all major streaming platforms. The music video premieres Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
