Millions of Aussies are scrambling to find their tickets following Thursday night’s massive Powerball draw.
The jackpot climbed to $100million after no one claimed the top prize for five consecutive weeks, setting up the biggest Powerball draw in more than a year.
Up to half of Australian adults were expected to have bought a ticket for Thursday night’s draw.
The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1587 were 14, 24, 15, 3, 27, 32 and 30, while the Powerball was 16.
If a single ticket holder wins, they will walk away with Australia’s equal third-largest lottery prize on record.
It is just the 13th time the jackpot has reached nine figures in the 30-year history of Powerball.
An earlier $100 million Powerball prize remains unclaimed after a winning ticket was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in June 2025.
More to come.
