The Black Stars‘ matches in the 2025 Unity Cup in London, England, will commence on May 28, 2025.

The Unity Cup, intended to celebrate African and Caribbean football, will see countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago competing for the title.

The Black Stars will kick-start the tournament with a clash against their fierce West African rivals, Nigeria, on May 28, while Trinidad and Tobago will face Jamaica on May 27, 2025.

The winners of these games will secure automatic qualification to the finals, while the losing teams will compete for third place in games scheduled for May 31, 2025.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AfroSport, the organization in charge of the tournament, Rotimi Pedro, stated that he is delighted about the tournament, which will thrill fans from the African and Caribbean sides.

“The Unity Cup is back! It has been a long road to revive this important community event, and we are happy that fans of African and Caribbean football will get to see international football of the highest caliber at the Unity Cup 2025,” he said as reported by ghanasoccernet.

The Black Stars will be hoping to continue their impressive form. In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, they defeated Chad 5-0 on March 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium and secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Madagascar on March 25, 2025.

After six matches played, Ghana lead Group I with 15 points, followed by Comoros with 12 points, while Madagascar lie in third position with 10 points.
