The Black Stars have held their position at 14th in the latest CAF rankings despite going unbeaten in the September 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

Despite the stagnant position in Africa, the latest FIFA Men’s World Ranking released on September 18, 2025, saw Ghana moved one spot up on the global stage.

The Black Stars have moved from the 76th to the 75th position on the world ranking.

The Black Stars drew 1-1 against Chad on September 4 before beating Mali 1-0 on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

However these results failed to propel the four-time African champions higher in the continental pecking order as they are pegged at 14.

The Black Stars still have room to improve their ranking on the continent before the year ends by winning their games in October 2025 against Central African Republic and Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
