Ghana’s U-16 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, delivered a dominant performance in the UEFA U-16 Girls’ Development Tournament in Malta, emerging as the most outstanding team of the competition.

The young Ghanaian side showcased their attacking prowess, scoring an impressive 20 goals in three matches while conceding just twice.

The Black Damsels began their campaign with a resounding 8-1 victory over the host nation, Malta, on March 4, 2025.

They followed up with a commanding 5-0 win against Latvia on March 5 before wrapping up the tournament in style with a stunning 7-1 triumph over Ireland on March 9.

The UEFA Development Tournament serves as preparation for participating nations ahead of upcoming assignments in 2025.

Following their outstanding performances in Malta, the Black Damsels are set to return to Ghana in the coming days.
