The Chief Executive Officer of Adamus Resources, Mrs Angela List, Adamus Resources Limited, has denied allegation filed against the company by one Mr Michael Benziecie with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

According to her, the company had categorically denies the false and malicious allegations of fraud under false pretence, misrepresentation, and regulatory violations which had since been widely reported by several media houses.

A statement issued by the company, signed by Mrs List and copied to The Ghanaian Times yesterday, noted that the baseless claims also targeting Mr Martin Kwaku Ayisi, Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, and Ms Rebecca Donkor, alleged to be a facilitator, were entirely without merit or evidence.

“Neither I, nor the named individuals have been contacted by EOCO regarding this matter,’’ she said.

Mrs List also stated that Mr Benziecie, whose unauthorised and unlicensed activities within the Adamus concession were recently halted by security forces combating illegal mining, had caused significant environmental and operational damage to the company.

“Adamus Resources Ltd. operates in strict compliance with the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006 (Act 703) as amended, and the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1994 (Act 490). I firmly reject any suggestion of enabling illegal mining or soliciting payments,” she underlined.

She also noted that the company welcomes a thorough EOCO investigation to expose these falsehoods and reserve all legal rights to address this defamatory attack robustly.
