Ghanaian international Caleb Yirenkyi has been named the Danish Superliga Young Player of the Year after an outstanding 2025/26 season with FC Nordsjælland.
The Ghana international midfielder continues to receive recognition for his impressive performances after already being crowned FC Nordsjælland’s Player of the Year earlier this season.
Yirenkyi enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Danish side, making 29 appearances while contributing two goals and six assists across the season. His consistency, versatility and maturity in midfield made him one of the standout young players in the Danish top flight.
The 20-year-old was officially presented with the club’s Player of the Year award before FC Nordsjælland’s clash against FC Midtjylland over the weekend.
The latest individual honour further highlights the remarkable rise of the young midfielder, who has become one of Ghana’s brightest talents in Europe.
Following his excellent season in Denmark, Yirenkyi is strongly expected to earn a place in Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
