Caitlin Clark made more WNBA history as the Indiana Fever secured a resounding victory over the Chicago Sky on a dramatic night at Wintrust Arena.

On Sunday night, she amassed 37 points – including a career-high eight three-pointers – and 10 assists. Clark has now had five games featuring 30-plus points and 10-plus assists.

The rest of the WNBA has managed four such games combined across the entire history of the league.

Clark’s stunning display came just 24 hours after she was called out by Team USA coach Kara Lawson over late mistakes in Saturday’s loss against the New York Liberty.

With New York leading by three – and less than a minute on the clock – Clark failed to box out the Liberty’s Leonie Fiebich, with Lawson branding the error ‘unacceptable.’

Moments later, Clark committed a foul that sent New York to the free-throw line. ‘That’s a poor decision by Indiana right there,’ Lawson continued on the Prime Video broadcast. ‘What you can’t do is foul this here.’

On Sunday, both Clark and Kelsey Mitchell put up 30 points as the Fever ran out 113-90 winners, eliminating Chicago from the playoffs in the process.

The game came weeks after the Fever and Sky sparked a WNBA race storm, with DiJonai Carrington posting ‘white privilege’ shortly after being ejected for a brutal foul on Sophie Cunningham.

Days later, Carrington posted that she never claimed the assessment of the Flagrant 2 was the result of white privilege, but didn’t elaborate any further.

‘I (couldn’t) care less about what she does, what she tweets, any of that,’ Cunningham said before Sunday’s game. ‘I´m here to play basketball.’

‘There’s going to be people who are going to talk about it … but to me, it´s just another basketball game.’

Sunday night’s clash was not short of chaos either, with security having to hold back Sky star Natasha Cloud after she confronted ex-NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom – who sat courtside after claiming he has declared for the WNBA Draft.

In a viral clip of the incident, the pair could be seen shouting at each other before Freedom stood up and held his arms out, while Cloud was stopped in her tracks by security.

The Sky star was dragged away from the situation by security and teammates before returning to the game, while Freedom was seen being escorted out the arena by staff.
