    Great news for all civil servants The Controller & Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has officially released the salary payment schedule for the entire 2026 fiscal year. This early announcement, coming almost two months before the end of 2025, allows government workers to plan their finances with confidence.

    Whether you’re with the Ghana Education Service (GES) or any other public service institution, this schedule is for you.

    Key Takeaways for 2026 Payments

    Early & Late Month Payments: Salaries for January 2026 will be paid on the 23rd, while December 2026 salaries will be paid on the 21st.

    Standard Payment Window: For all other months, salaries will typically be credited between the 25th and 27th of each month.

    Official Bank Crediting: The CAGD has confirmed that these are the specific dates on which banks will credit employees’ accounts.

    The CAGD has assured stakeholders that should there be any changes to these scheduled dates, they will issue a formal communication to all affected parties.

    Wrapping Up 2025: Final Salary Dates

    In related news, the department is on track to complete the 2025 salary year as planned. The remaining payments for this year are as follows:

    November 2025 Salary: Will be paid on Friday, November 24th.

    December 2025 Salary: Will be paid on Wednesday, December 18th.

    This ensures all government workers will receive their dues before the holiday season and the end of the year.
