The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Committee has imposed heavy sanctions on Algeria following misconduct during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

During Algeria’s quarter-final defeat to Nigeria, some players and team officials were involved in a brawl that breached CAF’s disciplinary codes.

In response, the CAF Disciplinary Committee handed down financial penalties amounting to $100,000, alongside sporting sanctions targeting key members of the Algerian squad.
