The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Tunisian referee Asma Chouchane to officiate Ghana’s first leg clash against South Africa in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Chouchane will take charge of the highly anticipated encounter, with fellow Tunisians Nesrine Quertatani and Khouloud Amri serving as assistant referees.

Emna Ajbouni has also been named as the fourth official for the match.

CAF has further confirmed that Nigeria’s Ruth David will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Senegalese official Fatou Gaye has been appointed as the Referee Assessor to oversee the performance of the officiating team.

The crucial qualifier is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kick-off is set for 15:30 GMT.

Ghana’s Black Princesses will be aiming to take full advantage of home support as they seek to build a strong foundation ahead of the return fixture.

Meanwhile, South Africa will be hoping to secure a positive outcome to boost their chances of progressing to the next stage of the qualifiers.
