Reggae and Dancehall singer, Iwan Suhyini has condemned the constant burning of seized marijuana by the Narcotics Control Commission.

He explained angrily that it’s backward thinking and ignorance to burn seized cannabis in this day and age despite its enormous economic benefits.

“We’re not progressing as a country and this is a very big ignorance to burn several seized bags of marijuana in this day and age and this is what we call ignorance,” he remarked on Property FM in Cape Coast.

“Ignorance in this era is not an excuse because if you’ve been able to go to school and despite your education, you don’t know the benefits of marijuana then what else do you know?

“Cannabis is something that naturally if we plant here in Ghana it grows so why don’t we take advantage of that to make money rather we focus on the smoking aspect of it?

“No matter what, people have been smoking wee for ages so they should stop focusing there and look at how marijuana can economically be of benefit to the country,” he told Amansan as monitored by MyNewsGh.com
