Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has reportedly cancelled two upcoming shows on his No Sign of Weakness U.S. tour, including a highly anticipated performance set for November 28, 2025, at The Armoury in Minneapolis.
A second stop, scheduled for December 1, 2025, in Chicago, has also been cancelled.
The abrupt cancellation was confirmed on the popular American ticket sales app, Ticketmaster.
While organisers have not issued an official explanation, the decision comes on the heels of intense criticism directed at the Grammy-winning superstar.
The controversy erupted after viral footage captured Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu, ordering a couple seated in the front row at his Colorado concert to be escorted out for appearing to fall asleep during his performance.
The moment drew mixed reactions from the audience and sparked widespread debate online.
The situation escalated further when Burna Boy defended his actions during an Instagram Live session, insisting he only wanted “supporters who buy my tickets.”

His comments intensified the backlash, especially after reports emerged that the woman removed from the concert was dealing with a recent personal bereavement.
Early Friday morning, Burna Boy acknowledged the cancellations on his Instagram Story, sharing a link to the tour’s ticketing page, which displayed both the Minneapolis and Chicago shows marked as cancelled. The rest of the tour dates remain unchanged.
As of now, neither Burna Boy nor his management has publicly addressed the cancellations or clarified whether the ongoing backlash influenced the decision.
