Ghanaian rapper William Kojo Johnson, popularly known as Stay Jay, has revealed plans for a comeback to the music scene.

He made this statement while stating that he hopes to collaborate with Burna Boy and Dua Lipa.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the “Shashee Wowo” hitmaker stated that he has been away from the music scene for some time, but his break was not a time of inactivity.

He noted that he used the period to grow, evolve creatively, and prepare for a stronger return to the ever-changing music industry.

“I’ve been focusing on personal growth and honing my craft. I’ve been writing new materials, exploring different music styles and collaborating with other artistes to expand my horizons,” he said.

Stay Jay, who was one of the forces behind the ‘Twi Pop’ era said he feels recharged and believes this is the right time to reintroduce himself to both local and international audiences.

“I feel revitalised and inspired, and I believe the world is ready for new music that brings people together. And this is the perfect time to reintroduce myself,” he stated.

As part of his comeback strategy, Stay Jay revealed that he would love to work with Nigerian Afrobeats musician Burna Boy and British pop singer Dua Lipa.

According to him, their styles blend well with his music and would be ideal for his return.

“I know there are so many talented artistes out there, but I’d love to collaborate with Dua Lipa or Burna Boy, as their styles resonate with me and would complement my music beautifully to seal my comeback,” he said.
