The defending champions of the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) Men’s 13s Championship, Bulls RLFC, whipped Titans RLFC 44-4 in a high-scoring encounter to move within three points of leaders, Dragons RLFC.

Played at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium, the second-round opener saw Leslie Boadu cross for the opening try as early as the second minute. Richard Browne Asare added another try just a minute later and successfully converted, giving the Bulls an early 10-0 advantage.

Titans’ Papa Sekyi scored his side’s only try of the match in the 19th minute, but Bernard Antwi was unable to convert. Browne Asare converted again in the 27th minute to ensure a 16-4 half-time lead for Bulls.

Back from the break, Bulls continued their dominance, with Browne Asare scoring another try, followed by three successful conversions in the 34th, 44th, and 51st minutes to extend the lead.

Tries also came from Emmanuel Arku Boison, Collins Kweku Ofosu, Kwabena Kyei-Boafo, and Martin Osei Buabeng, to seal an impressive 44-4 victory.

Also, Accra Panthers produced an outstanding attacking performance to defeat Skolars 60-0.

Adam Marsuu finished with six successful conversions, while Godwin Asamoah, Akwei Godfred Adotei, Arimiyaw Shariff, Emmanuel Bonney, and William Asilevi collectively recorded 12 tries in a dominant team performance.

Dragons gained a three-point and 30-0 walkover victory over Nungua Tigers after the latter failed to honour the match.

With these results, Dragons maintained the top spot with 18 points, followed by Bulls on 15 points, and Accra Panthers on 12 points. Nungua Tigers sit fourth with six points, Skolars with three points, and Titans at the bottom without a point.

The championship continues on Sunday, August 16 with a top-of-the-table clash between league leaders, Dragons, and Accra Panthers. Bulls will take on Skolars, while Nungua Tigers battle Titans in pursuit of valuable points and playoff qualification positions.
