Entertainment pundit Lawrence Asiamah, well-known as Bullgod, has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the government to aid Thomas Partey in his rape case trial.

The player has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The offenses are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, according to the United Kingdom (UK) Metropolitan Police.

The charges involve three women, with two counts of rape relating to one woman, three counts of rape in connection to a second woman, and one count of sexual assault linked to a third woman.

In response, Bullgod asserted that the Black Stars midfielder has played an immense role in the nation’s successes, especially in qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2026 qualification.

The artiste manager also indicated that, in light of his services to the nation, the GFA and the government should do their best to help him in any way possible to get him out of the predicament.

“At the moment, we pray that God will help him to redeem himself from the charges, and public support too. I also believe that the GFA or the Ghana government should support him in the best way possible in this situation, because this is a citizen who makes the nation proud on the international stage.

“It is not easy to face charges of this sort; I have been a victim before, so I understand what it means,” he said in Twi while speaking on the United Showbiz on April 5, 2025.

Bullgod further expressed skepticism about one of the charges leveled against the former Arsenal midfielder, saying it is not plausible for one lady to be raped three times without reporting it earlier.

“One of the girls who claimed Partey raped her thrice does not make sense to me. I would dismiss it first if I were his lawyer. This is because she should have reported it when it happened for the first time, so it makes the claim doubtful,” he added.
