Former African boxing champion, Braimah Kamoko, better known as Bukom Banku, has apologized to popular American streamer Darren Watkins, also known as IShowSpeed.

The streamer visited the Bukom Boxing Arena during his trip to Ghana on January 26, 2026, where he was welcomed by numerous fans who were thrilled to meet him and show support for his initiative to promote boxing in Bukom.

One of the iconic moments came when Bukom Banku sang along to a song while the American streamer danced, creating a lively atmosphere.

However, the former WBO Africa Light Heavyweight champion later claimed that he was unable to respond to IShowSpeed’s greeting during their performance.

Bukom Banku explained that it was not his intention to ignore the greeting, but rather a result of the moment they found themselves in, and that he apologized accordingly.

“IShowSpeed, I beg. Yesterday, when you tried to greet me, I did not see you at the ringside; you know I was performing. You came to Ghana, and I am a great superstar here.

“So if you come to Ghana, I have to make you happy. So I apologize, begging you in the name of God to forget everything. I did not know that you greeted me,” he shared in a video on social media.

Bukom Banku was one of the personalities who made IShowSpeed’s visit to the boxing arena entertaining and successful, playing a significant role in thrilling the crowd and promoting boxing.
