Former Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has reignited his long-standing rivalry with Bastie Samir, accusing him of relying on “juju” to win bouts.

In a viral video circulating on social media, Bukom Banku is seen speaking in his native Ga language, alleging that Samir’s rise in the sport was powered not only by his talents but also by supernatural help.

According to him, Bastie “no longer has the strength” because he has lost the spiritual backing that once gave him an advantage.

He pointed to their famous 2017 encounter at the Bukom Boxing Arena, the only loss on his professional record, as an example of Samir’s supposed reliance on spiritual forces.

That bout, dubbed “Make or Break,” ended in a seventh-round TKO victory for Samir and marked the first blemish on Banku’s then-undefeated streak.

While fans hailed Samir’s victory, Banku has hinted that something beyond boxing skill was involved.

Samir, for his part, has previously dismissed such accusations, insisting that his success came purely through hard work and discipline.

The fresh claims have sparked debate among boxing enthusiasts, with many viewing Banku’s words as another chapter in his colorful and often controversial career.

For others, it has revived memories of the unforgettable night when Samir shocked the Ghanaian boxing community by toppling the self-styled “boxing president.”
