Ernest Brogya Genfi, the Deputy Minister of Defence, has issued a firm and candid caution to all Ghana Armed Forces personnel, emphasising the need for discipline, professionalism and respect for the rule of law both on and off duty.

In a strongly worded address at the 2025 Military Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration at Bundase on Friday, October 31, 2025, he reminded soldiers and officers of their duty to uphold the highest standards of conduct, stating, “Every soldier and officer is expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, respect the rule of law and safeguard the rights of all citizens whether on duty or off duty.”

The statement comes amid growing concerns about isolated incidents that have threatened to tarnish the image of the military.
