A British expat has sparked outrage after ranking the three ‘most dangerous’ towns in Australia where he claims he didn’t feel safe.
Luke, who has lived in Australia for several years, named Alice Springs as the ‘most dangerous town in Australia’.
‘I don’t think this is a massive shock to anyone. (Alice Springs) is the most dangerous town in Australia,’ he said.
‘Whilst I didn’t have any major issues there, I did feel a bit on edge.’
He then listed Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory as the second most dangerous and the northern suburbs of Adelaide as the third.
His video divided Australians, with some agreeing with his rankings while others claimed the UK was more dangerous.
‘Australia is very safe compared to the UK,’ one said.
Another quipped: ‘Been to London mate? Talk about unsafe.’

But some agreed with Luke, with one commenter claiming ‘everywhere in Australia, I don’t feel safe’.
‘Been to Alice Springs for one night, we were camping outside and there were people sneaking around the tents trying to steal things,’ another alleged.
Alice Springs is listed as the 38th most dangerous city in the world on the twice-yearly Crime Index by City, ranked by Numbeo, which gathers data from user surveys.
In November, an elderly man was attacked by a machete-wielding man wearing an ankle monitor in the latest incident of violence in the Northern Territory.
A horrified onlooker filmed the attack inside a shopping centre on Hartley Street in Alice Springs, as frightened shoppers in a nearby food court rushed to clear the area.
The video showed a young male wearing a black hoodie and shorts and carrying a huge knife.
He repeatedly sliced at the other man in the footage, with witnesses saying the attack went on for about a minute before they filmed it.
Two elderly men attempted to intervene, but the assailant only stopped the wild attack once an off-duty female police officer physically attempted to apprehend him and chased him out of the centre.

The man who filmed the incident wished to stay anonymous but said he had been visiting Alice Springs from Victoria for FIFO work.
He is now considering closing his business in the area.
Luke said he ranked Tennant Creek as the second ‘most dangerous’ after his bus stopped there during a trip to the Outback.
‘I definitely felt a bit on edge,’ he said.
‘I remember there was one point where we pulled up in the middle of the night and we basically had a load of Indigenous people just smacking on the windows and shouting at the bus. That was pretty intense.’
When addressing Adelaide’s northern suburbs in third place, he said they ‘weren’t amazing’ when he lived in the city.
‘We basically had to take a house there and honestly, it wasn’t the nicest place ever,’ he said.
