    Ghana’s boxing fans were treated to a star-studded welcome on Monday, December 15, 2025, as British light heavyweight champion Craig Richards and India’s rising sensation Nishant Dev arrived at Kotoka International Airport.

    The two are set to feature in Legacy Rise Sports’ “The Showdown” at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on December 20, 2025.

    Their arrival marks a significant boost for what promises to be the biggest boxing event of the year.

    The two international fighters were received with excitement. Earlier on Saturday, December 13, 2025, promoters Alex Ntiamoah and Sammy Anim Addo, alongside Sharaf Mahama, led a health walk to create awareness.

    Ghana to face Germany in pre-World Cup friendly

    The card boasts thrilling bouts featuring Ghanaian prospects Theophilus Allotey, Sampson Segbedzi, Abdula, and headline matchups such as Freezy Macbones versus Worldwide, and Holy Dorgbetor versus John Laryea.
